It sounds like we need Get Gephardt to help out here. Oh, wait, West Valley Auto Plaza is Gephardt Approved.

I wonder if the complaints and scams with ever catch up to Nick Markosian and West Valley Auto Plaza for the lemons/ Used Cars they sell to Salt Lake City car buyers. I think the law should be involved in this one. I guess because he has his own in house, paid off mechanic he doesn't need to follow State law.

West Valley Auto Plaza sold my friend a car and it has had something
new wrong with it every week. It has been back in the shop more times
than she's been able to drive it since she bought it. Also, she
realized that her temporary tags were going to expire yesterday, so on
Monday she called to find out why she had yet to recieve her permanent
plates. They informed her that it was because the car had not been
inspected for emissions. This should have been addressed earlier than
the day before plates were to expire, and had many opportunities since
it had been in their shop so many times. Also, Utah law REQUIRES car
dealerships in Salt Lake County to inspect their cars for both safety
AND emissions BEFORE issuing the temporary tags. This is a violation
of the law, and the company should face penalties.West Valley Auto Plaza sold my friend a car and it has had something

An ex employee talks about Nick Markosian and his team of classy people.

Even the people who work for Nick don't like him.

I went from being a 8-10 car a month salesman at ken garff to starting at WVAP.  I worked less than a week sold 1 car. But was fired for inefficiency. I worked 4 1/2 days. Dustin their sales manager told me I'd never sell cars and that I was worthless and stupid. I then went from their lot to National Auto Plaza. I worked with some of the best men in the business there. Aysar Haddadin, Vladimer Domazet, Matt Nelson, our GM Charles. For someone unable to sell cars  and for being stupid, I sold 17 cars my first month. Take that Nick Markosian and Dustin.

Customer Service from West Valley Auto Plaza is a scam.

This poor guy is going to loose his car for being one day late. Also, aren't they supposed to have these cars inspected before they sell them? Another Nick Markosian scam. Way to go Nick, you are a real class act.

I got a car through west valley auto and have been so stressed cause of how stupid they are. I am not normally this rude but its the truth they are stupid. Took them 6 times to get my address right, also at least 4 times I was under impression I was set up four auto bill pay!! I would get phone call a few days later where is your payment and I would be upset cause now its late!! Not only that but I have told them I get paid on 20th and to change date to that so it wouldn't be late anymore for they had it set for 18th!! APG,which is the finance company tells me my date is changed then it should have been changed, well it wasn't!!!!!!!! I find out I have to go sign a new contract to change my date and they now say cause I was late all those times they can now reposes on 19th, ONE DAY PAST DUE DATE!!! I also got the car with multiple problems like headlights burnt out, back light broken and rigged to look like it wasn't, plus the driver door lock is brocken, the gas light doesn't work!! Its just one thing after another with them now I can't make it down there today but get paid on Friday and they are going to reposes it tomorrow.

The Nick Markosian scandal continues.....

Went here to test drive a car that I was interested in yesterday. First thing they want is to check my credit score! Before I even test drove the car. I have been to MANY dealerships over the years and this is the first time that I encountered that. The salesman had to talk to the manager just so that I could test drive the car without a credit check. Then the manager comes out and acts like his salesman is a moron... Anyway, they take my license (which is normal for a test drive) and when I got back from the test drive I got my license back and left to go home. Well I get an e-mail today from my credit monitoring site informing me that I have a new 'hard' credit inquiry! So after me making a big deal about them not checking my credit, they did anyway, WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. So not only was I unimpressed with the salesperson and manager, but they went entirely against my wishes by running my credit. It's my understanding that they need permission to do a 'hard' credit inquiry so I'm going to see what I can do to report it.

Nick is still stealing from Salt Lake City car buyers. He won't stop until you stop shopping with him.

My Review of West Valley Auto Plaza:
This place will screw you over!!! My husband bought a 2002 Ford Focus from these guys in August 2011 and they shoved it on him like it was the perfect car for him. He test drove it and liked it. (He was a first time buyer and they knew it). They forced him to sign his contract without letting him even read it. Right after he signed it he found out they made him buy a $10,000 car... We had the car for 2 weeks and then the rearview mirror feel off the windshield. It was already broken and it looked like they superglued it back on as a quick fix. A few days after that the indoor light fell off.. Same thing as the mirror.. quickfix.. Then the we found out the trunk was broken and wouldn't close all the way.. Then the lever to pop the hood broke off too.. Then a few months into having the car it broke down on us.. We took it into them and it turned out there was ANOTHER quick fix they did.. There was fluid leaking into the radiator.. Forced US to pay for it even though they admitted to us they sold it him knowing it wasn't worth the price and it was a crappy quick fix car.. Right now my husband is at West Valley Auto Plaza because the car was acting up again. They are Forcing us to pay $150 to fix this damn car AGAIN. And we are stuck paying for a $10,000 car that is barely worth $1,000 and the car won't even last long enough for us to finish all the payments. Plain and simple, these guys WILL screw you over! Plus they treat him like crap everytime he goes in there. I would NEVER recommend them.

I just don't get it. How do you have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau and still get Gephardt Approved. It doesn't look like being Gephardt Approved has very much value these days....

Fake reputation, that's Nicks policy

Nick has staff enter fake reviews so that you will think they are great guys. Even on some of the websites his employees used their real names. LOL Pathetic! Please note that the last two reviews left these are the only reviews these two people have ever left. could be an employee using a different name. A real person would have left reviews for several business's. Problems at every turn. Did they get us into a car? Yes, did my husband spend over 8 hours getting it done? Yes. I understand most dealerships run similarly, but doesn't it get annoying when your "salesperson" can't ever give you an answer on anything before going and asking the "fill in the blank" manager? Sales mgr, finance mgr, etc.. Every single thing has taken ten times as long as they'd promised. We've carted a young child and baby there and back several times and waited around hours to get something simple done. New tires? They say 2 hours, then you get there say say no it could be 3 or 4 so someone takes him home. Then when we call 3 or 4 hours later they haven't even started, whoops ordered the wrong tires. Everything that can goes wrong, goes wrong with them somehow. Had another minor repair today, they said it'd take an hour and a half. My husband had to file his taxes (don't get me started on that, he's gone back 5 times to try to get that finalized.)they said they'd get the new part in the car while he worked on the taxes. Once taxes were done, they still hadn't started and said it would be 3 or 4 more hours.... Like we have a kid to pick up from school! How are they so consistantly wrong at estimating time, and why in the hell do you make an appt? FYI they will charge you $200 to file your taxes... Too much? Maybe not from a qualified tax professional for a complicated return involving real estate, investments, ira's. But it's none of that... Its your car salesman typing all of your personal information into his computer hooked up to the building's wi-fi, they have no idea what they're doing and when you get to the end they tell you it also costs $200 since they "prepared it". In our case it kept turning out wrong so I took it home, figured it out myself, went back and told them what to put on which line, line by line. And yeah still charged us $200 to give them a $1500 down payment and if we didn't file with them $300 penalty so lose/lose situation. Just don't bother. Go somewhere else! They mess everything up at every opportunity they have. I didn't listen to the negative ratings and look where it got us... Don't make my same mistake
